1. Any and all recommendations for exemptions and exemption levels should be deleted (all of section 2.4) 2. The precautionary principle should be adopted. 3. I am very much opposed to any deregulation of nuclear waste. I am concerned about the lack of popular representation in the decision making process and fear that economic and political interests will take precedence over public health safety interests. I am also concerned about the proliferation of nuclear materials and their waste products both because of public health issues and terrorism.
